New Years Day Float

Join BPS members for the annual New Years Day float on the Upper Yellowstone run in Gardiner. In past years, eight to twenty plus paddlers have participated in this paddling event. According to weather.com, the weather in Gardiner for January 1, 2006 is supposed to be a balmy mid 30’s. Gear essentials are lots of fleece, fuzzy rubber helmet liner, a drytop or drysuit and some warm paddling gloves or mittens and don’t forget your New Years hat and a noise maker. The meeting time is around 11:00 am in Gardiner at the boiler plant. To get to the boiler plant, cross the Yellowstone River Bridge and take a left when the main road T’s and go a block or so. We finish up the day with a soak and a cool beverage at Chico Hot Springs.
