Wednesday Evening Paddle

All Paddlers Welcome

All paddlers are welcome to join BPS members for the weekly Wednesday evening paddle outing to the Lower Stillwater River. The Lower Stillwater River is a Class II run with lots of eddy lines and waves to play on. Depending on skill level, beginners may want to wait until the river is under 3.5 ft on the USGS gauge (see streamflow table on our home page). The length of the run is around 5 miles and will take 2 to 3 hours depending on how good the play spots are. Wear plenty of paddling gear, since this is an evening run and it can get a little chilly as the sun goes down.  Meet in Sunshine Sport's parking lot @ 5pm to carpool to the put in and make shuttle arrangements. Plan on returning to Billings between 10 & 11 pm.

Meeting Place: Sunshine Sport's parking lot @ 5 pm.

Run Location: Lower Stillwater River between Columbus and Absarokee.

Put-In: Whitebird Fishing Access 

Take-Out: Firemans Point
