The Side Kick is an all-river play paddle with a great feel and excellent handling. The downward angle of the blades lets each stroke enter the water sooner and respond with maximum power. With less area at the throat, the blades load and unload on command and you won't trip over the blade when making vertical and cross-deck moves, or when tucking in close to your boat. Although the Side Kick was designed for playboating, its powerful blades are liked by creek boaters as well.

Available in Standard and Small Shaft: Werner is the first manufacturer to offer two shaft sizes, standard and small diameter, in both straight and neutral bent shafts. Why offer two choices? One size shaft does not work best for all hand sizes. A shaft diameter that is properly fit allows a paddler to maintain a light grip, thus reducing fatique and increasing comfort and control. Measure your hand from the base of the palm to the tip of your middle finger. If your measurement is 6 1/4" or smaller we recommend going with the small shaft.
