Three models - the 235, 245 and 255 - give the h3 the ability to fit 99% of paddlers with a boat that performs ergonomically for any size of paddler.

Standard Features:

Predicatable Hull Design: the h3's modified hull is an evolution from the proven h2, slightly narrower centre section for softer landings on bigger drops and also raises the double rail that aids carving, rapid acceleration and directional control giving that confident and responsive feel required while river running but makes the h3 much less likely to trip while running down longer shallow slides. Widened bow with modified rocker lifts the h3 over more turbulent water ensuring that the deck stays unloaded combined with a moderate tail rocker allows the h3 to resurface after drops and meltdowns with speed and maintain directional control.

Modified Volume Distribution: Slightly increased overall volume and front and rear water shedding deck ridges again give the h3's unsurpassed ability to resurface with speed, predictability and directional control.

Advanced Speed Gills: Allow for softer tail, which is less grabby in bigger water but still enables the h3 to maintain great speed and give impressive directional stability for a boat of its length.

Syncro 4D Outfitting: Synchronised control, combining the following four components:

Core Freestyle and Freeride seats: The core of the Syncro system is the seat unit. A redesigned ergonomic, padded ABS seat unit fully supports the paddler and assist energy transmission in to the hull and allows feedback from the boat. Incorporates fast tool free adjustment allowing for quick changes to trim of the kayak riverside, enabling gear to be easily carried or different performance set-ups to be tried out.

Hooker Thigh Grips: Allowing paddlers the choice to have their control from the thigh or further up the leg. An ergonomic thigh hook can be rotated over the thigh or retracted back to give a more or less aggressive position as required. The thigh hook can be removed totally and the mounting used as a thigh grip on its own for paddlers with larger thighs or those who require less contact and more room to exit the boat.

Floater Ratchet Backrest: Improved with new short webbing runners that greatly reduce wear, tougher webbing straps and integrated with our ergonomic studies for the sitting position a totally new backrest pad that supports the lower back and helps reduce back problems.

Motion Control Hip Pads: integrated pre moulded foam hip pads that are mounted off the backrest straps giving unparalleled energy transmission, feedback and paddler comfort.

River Running Safety Features:

High visibility 1000kgs (2,200lbs) end grabs incorporating strong (12Kn) bar tacked webbing that incorporates an insert that ensures it keeps its shape, is easy to handle and is accessible in even the most severe situations. Attached to two reinforced mounting points combine to make a safe and impressive step forward in modern end grab design.

Quick Clip Rescue Points: Three paddler accessible rescue points, one mounted immediately in front of the cockpit and one either side at the rear of the cockpit enabling easy and rapid access for rescue points. Co designed and manufactured with D.M.M. one of the worlds leading manufactures of climbing equipment. A strong (33kn) drop forged alloy bar in set in a reinforced mounting over a deep, wide karabiner specific recess that allows for immediate location when it matters. Independently tested to 800kgs (1760lbs) unlike other "security" bars these are designed as Rescue Points first and security points second!

Integrated Safety Pillar: New for 2003 a fully dedicated Safety Pillar has been designed in conjunction with the h:3. Rotomoulded for durability and attached to the forward Rescue Point for all round strength, this system represents the most advanced all-round design for safety, hull rigidity and easy exit.

Reinforced Rear foam pillar: Provides structural integrity and additional buoyancy.

Fullplate Footrests unit: Two different sized roto moulded bulkhead pods are supplied along with an additional foam energy absorbing pad to allowing a custom fit. The 2 pods allow different sizes of paddlers to have a fullplate footrest that fits the shape of the boat and simply screw to the support bars enabling you to quickly change it if you require. (This makes it ideal for group use) The bars have also been designed to help absorb the shock of sudden sever impacts.
